Albayan Schools offer a safe and caring environment where children develop a love of learning during their formative years. Our approach is structured, but it leaves room for the curiosity and enthusiasm that make learning stick.

Grades 1/EB1 through Grade 6/EB6 are divided into two stages. The first is for children aged 6 to 8, while the second is for children aged 9 to 11. This allows us to meet specific goals with students based on their age as well as their abilities.

Albayan elementary students follow a rich curriculum, complemented by field trips and extracurricular activities. Public speaking is taught as a subject in its own right, giving students the confidence to present their own ideas from an early age.

Students in both stages are taught science, math, and other fundamental subjects such as Arabic, English, and French. Parents can choose either English or French to be their primary language, with the other being taught as a secondary language, giving all students the opportunity to receive instruction in three languages. Students who study in French are offered the DELF exam at the French Embassy in Lebanon.

Technology is part of everyday learning from the very first year. Our classrooms use interactive screens, and our computer science curriculum begins in Grade 1/EB1 and grows in depth each year. In Grades 1/EB1 through 3/EB3, we use Seesaw to connect the classroom with home, capturing each child's work as it happens so families can see their day rather than just hear about it.

We have found that a continuous evaluation system has proven more beneficial for students than an exhausting midterm exam-based system. Every assignment counts toward the student's ongoing evaluation, which has led to remarkable advancement in everything from the sciences to social skills without the strain of mid-year testing.
