SAT
Albayan Schools provide students with the high level of education, across a variety of subjects to prepare them for college. Whether they choose to continue their education in Lebanon or abroad, our students are always prepared for whatever entrance exams they need to proceed.
One such exam is the SAT, which our high school students prepare for within our curriculum at no extra cost.
The SAT is a multiple-choice test created and administered by the College Board and is used by most colleges and universities to make admissions’ decisions. The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and to provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants.
College admissions officers review standardized test scores alongside the student’s high school GPA, the classes they took, letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors, extracurricular activities, admissions interviews, and personal essays.

DELF
The DELF and DALF are diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education to prove the French-language skills of non-French candidates.
There are six independent diplomas, which correspond, respectively, to the six levels of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
Our experience in delivering the DELF Program has produced distinguished results from our students. The DELF Program has been an essential part of our curriculum and is included at no additional cost.
Public Speaking
A strong voice begins with a strong mind.
At Albayan Schools, public speaking is taught as a subject in its own right throughout Elementary Cycle. Students learn to think clearly and speak with intention, developing the confidence to carry their own ideas.
Throughout the year they work through dedicated material and structured practice, moving from prepared speeches to spontaneous expression and, gradually, from finding the right words to finding their own voice. Our teachers receive specialized training so that this growth is nurtured with purpose and consistency.
The subject comes alive at our annual Public Speaking events, where students take the stage before a jury that has included university representatives, doctors, and members of Toastmasters. Year after year their performances show a maturity and presence well beyond what anyone expects of children this age.
For us, public speaking is not simply about speaking well. It is about knowing what you want to say, and having the confidence to be heard.
Computer Science and Robotics
In a world being reshaped by technology, computer science has become as fundamental to a student's education as mathematics or language. At Albayan Schools, we treat it that way, building a program that gives students not just technical skills, but the computational thinking and problem-solving mindset they'll need in virtually any field they go on to pursue.
Our computer science curriculum is aligned with international ISTE and CSTA standards, and follows a structured, spiral progression that deepens year after year:
Elementary Cycle. Students begin away from a screen entirely, learning to think like problem-solvers and investigate data like detectives, before taking their first real steps onto the computer: navigating it confidently, expressing their creativity through digital drawing, and building their first simple programs. From there they move into real creation: writing and formatting documents, building presentations and spreadsheets, researching online with a critical eye, and writing their own code. By the end of Elementary Cycle, students have published a real, live website of their own, and gotten hands-on with machine learning, training and testing their own AI models, and 3D design.
Middle Cycle. The curriculum opens up considerably. Students program physical hardware they can hold in their hands, write their first real Python code, and explore generative AI directly, learning to write effective prompts and to question what AI produces rather than accept it. They go on to build databases, design and code real websites, and develop their first mobile applications, alongside an introduction to cybersecurity.
Secondary Cycle. Students work at a genuinely professional level: applying real computer science concepts like data structures, systems architecture, and network fundamentals, managing projects from plan to delivery, and building more advanced, accessible mobile applications. They also produce professional-quality video, imaging, and animation work.
This foundation is reinforced through robotics, where students design, build, and program robots that turn abstract ideas into physical, working solutions. Robotics gives computer science a hands-on, tangible dimension, reinforcing coding concepts through engineering, competitions, and real-world application, while building patience, precision, and teamwork.
Together, computer science and robotics prepare our students to think critically, adapt quickly, and approach the future with genuine confidence in a technology-driven world.
Extracurricular Activities and Trips
At Albayan Schools our extracurricular activities and field trips promote students’ academic, social, and personal development. Our activities include arts, athletics, theater, wellness, community service and almost any other subject that our students can be actively and productively involved in.
Some of our extracurricular activities include:
- Sports. Playing on school teams, as part of an intramural team or in a club team outside of school.
- Community Service. Participating in volunteer work either in the local community, on a national scale, or abroad.
- Arts. Engaging in projects or performances in visual or performing arts.
- Academic Activities. Participating in the maths or science clubs or competitions, joining creative writing groups, or being part of the science fair.
Our students have participated in a wide variety of beneficial extracurricular activities and experiences such as LAU MUN (LAU’s Model United Nations), a meditation activity by the Inner Peace Organization and ‘Zyara’, a web document-series that helped students accept others for who they are.
