Secondary Cycle

At Albayan, our students' final years draw together everything that came before, and we aim to send them into the world confident and ready for what comes next.

Secondary education is a three-year program covering Grades 10/ES1, 11/ES2, and 12/ES3, for students aged 15 to 17. Students follow one of four tracks: humanities, economics, life sciences, or general sciences. Each student's path is guided by the head of the Secondary Division, in discussion with the student and their family, based on the results they achieve in this phase.

When students complete the three years, they sit the Lebanese Baccalaureate exams. Students who complete the exams successfully will receive the Lebanese Baccalaureate Certificate of Secondary Education.

During this stage, students also sit the SAT, which is required or recommended by many universities in Lebanon and abroad. Our students go into the test understanding the techniques it demands and how to apply them.

This is also where our computer science curriculum reaches its most advanced level, with students working on real programming, databases, and cybersecurity.

Albayan Schools work with a selection of prestigious Lebanese universities that conduct orientations at the school, introducing students to the majors they can apply for. This gives our students an immediate and immersive introduction to a wide choice of universities, while also helping them choose their area of study.
